- I tried both Garmin adaptors that came with the Garmin Radar mount to no avail. By mid ride my radar would be turned to the side. I tried another after market brand with the same result. Finally, this mount holds the radar in place without it turning and ending up facing the side of the road. This mount is far more secure than the original Garmin Mount and also includes 3 adaptors. My seat post is a D post..
- Did you purchase an rct715 and have more than one bike? You could buy an additional OEM mount for much more or buy this mount right here. The quality is the same compared to the one that comes with the rct715. I did a twenty mile ride on paved roads and unpaved trails. I have no worries about this unit failing while riding and dropping a pretty expensive item.
