- I received one of these mounts as birthday gift in September 2020. Been using it ever since. It has never failed me despite the crit racing, training, distance riding I\'ve done with it. You can install a Garmin 1000 with it, but it is snug (see my attached photo)- which I like the look. It doesn\'t rub my stem, even when installing, but it is very close. The 1030 and 1040 won\'t fit for sure. I like it enough that I purchased one for my son\'s bike to mount his Garmin.
- Not a fan of the clamp bolt being on top, which means moisture/dust will pool in the hex. Item is made of plastic -- it\'s not a super stiff/brittle plastic, more of a \"thick toy plastic\". I suspect it\'ll actually be quite durable, but my other mounts are aluminum and, therefore, feel far more substantial and stiff. This is lighter than all of my aluminum mounts, though, so it\'s worthy of being used if I need to shed every gram. For now, it was an inexpensive solution for a not-often-used bike so I can avoid swapping mounts around. If you\'re someone hard on your bike and it\'s getting banged around a lot... maybe not your best choice.
- Perfect for front garmin GPS.
- It works well with a Garmin Edge 130, in fact could be an inch shorter. Nice aero install, that puts it in line with your bars. I wish it could work on either side of the stem though. It tends to interfere with the stealth routing of my cables, due to the low slung positioning, but it would not interfere on the other side of the stem. Easy install and it is rock solid with NO slipping. In fact to adjust the angle down a bit, I had to remove hardware, reposition, and then lock it down again....NO slipping, which is good. Puts the unit in a good viewing location on a road bike, but still fairly discreet.
- Great value, works perfectly with Garmin Edge 130. It was a snap to install and position. I was a little concerned about durability after looking at some comments, but I have had no issues after a year of regular cycling. Very secure and keeps the Garmin in the perfect position on a road bike.
- Nicely finished, well made, and it works. The only potential issue is the circular mounting channel is too tight. Garmin made this same mistake years ago, but they fixed it. The tabs on the computer tend to snap off in a tight mount, rendering the computer useless. Don\'t make it so tight, and then you have a perfect product.
- This is a nice mount that sits below the tops of the bars for a more streamline position. It’s not the sleekest looking mount with wide squared edges but it does the trick. Mine was missing the tension screw to mount it but I had an old derailleur screw laying around that worked so i didn’t have to go through the trouble of exchanging it. I didn’t want to wait.
