- Just what I needed to solve the phone holder placement in.my truck. Works great
- I wanted something to hold the Garmin GPS unit I have on the dash above the vent, not obstructing my view. Initially it seemed the adhesive would hold, even leaving it after a couple of days before using it. However, it soon failed.I bought some replacement adhesive disks and it stayed in place. With the attachments that came it holds the GPS exactly where I need it, so it did work out in the end.
- I bought this because the factory provided suction cup would constanly fall off the windshieldI tried the vent mounted accessory, but it interfered with airflow and the mount would move and have to be adjusted constantly. (This may not be an issue in your particular vehicle)This adhesive mount fit nicely on my dashboard (Honda CRV) withouth blocking the vehicle\'s visual display. After a week or so, it hasn\'t fallen off yetTime will tell, but so far, I am very pleased with this product

- Why do all the magnetic chargers mount to the ac vent. Terrible solution.This sticks well with 3M adhesive tape included. I made a \'flat\' spot in the perfect spot on my GMC pickup with some epoxy.... no flat spots in dashboards these days, but this is the way to mount your phone and keep the charger secure.
- I paired this with an Iottie Qi mechanical cell phone holder. It works perfectly and has a short stem and long stem option. It also fit the PhoneMate automatic style holder but that one would open and close randomly so I swapped it out for the manual type. Ball on the Schosch is slightly smaller but it may work with the Magic mount with a little effort. Mine came with two sets of the small ends also.
- It says 17mm ball, but it\'s really 16mm. A 17mm ball is too hard to insert, and the supplied nut doesn\'t fit over a 17mm ball. If you intend to buy a different arm, get 16mm ball...
