• Mount is sturdy and did not move
• I just got this mount yesterday and had a chance to put it on today and I have to say how impressed I’m with the quality of this product. From the high quality of the plastic, the different size rubber gussets that comes with it (2) to accommodate multiple size bars, to the different sized allen wrenches that also are provided by Garmin in the package. I also love the two piece arm of the mount that allows a variety of mounting and positioning options for those of us who are a little picky. The only thing I can really complain about is the price. At $36 I think that’s a little high for me but at the same time added to the quality, and versatility of this product you also are giving the ability to change out the different proprietary inserts of mount depending on what product (Wahoo, Go Pro, Garmin) your using it for. So though a little pricey I would buy this product again, no-brainer.
• The hinged split clamp works perfectly on larger 35mm bars, when not using the included rubber spacers. Garmin location can be tweaked to get just the right angle location and sits nicely centered above stem.
• Title is misleading. There is a rubber gasket for road bike handle bars and a larger gasket for MTB handlebars that comes with the mount.
• This mount works very well. It holds the Garmin very securely. It is listed as a \"mountain bike mount\" but I think it would work on any bike that has handlebars. It can be rotated to hold the Garmin at the top of the stem (as I have done) or down near the middle of the stem. It can be mounted on either side of the stem. On older Garmin devices, the connecter tabs are at the 9 and 3 o\'clock positions and the mount can easily be changed to accommodate this. Just remove the two screws on the back side of the mount (hex key provided), remove and rotate the connector 90 degrees and replace the screws to change the orientation of the mount. This is not mentioned in any of the descriptions that I have seen. As a result, I think this mount could be used for any Garmin device that uses the Quarter-turn mount system.
• And what so unique about if I should have an accident it will protect my Garmin 1030 being close to the stem
• A but pricey for what it is, but seems well made. Took a little bit of finagling to get it do fit my handlebar. My bar is on the larger of diameters, so it would hold pretty well without any of the rubber strips. But I could still move it if I tried easier than I thought was acceptable. So I used a small piece of the thinnest piece of rubber to get a firmer grip on the bar. Took a bit of trial and error, but now it doesn\'t move at all.
