• I used it to mount to a AMPS plate on a car mount from Pro Clips. The Pro Clips mount was plastic so I used some small black screws to mount this metal plate/ball to the plastic mount. The ball is 17mm and works with a lot of the adjustable car phone mount systems. Mine was from Rennline and had it in a Porsche but re-used it in a Lexus. Happy with it so far.

• Loved this mount for 2 years!! Then the weather got really hot here in the southeast US. Now, I can\'t crank the mount tight enough to grip this ball mount on a hot day. I think the hot aluminum ball on the mount is actually melting the plastic surface of my car mount & keeping it too loose to use.I\'m going to remount one of the plastic 17mm balls & see if that works?
