Garmin Adapter Cable
- This cable provided instant plug-and-play communication from my Yamaha display to my Garmin MFD. However, you also need Yamaha part number 6Y8-82521-01, to adapt it to the Yamaha bus bar. Super easy install, and as soon as I powered up the electronics, the Yammy info was available on the Garmin.
- This is exactly what I needed to get data from my Yamaha engine to my Garmin 1243 chart plotter. Now have all pertinent information displayed on a customizable screen right in front of me.
- One of the cables to install the Yamaha gauges on the chart plotter screen. 2 cables needed or can go with the Lowrance nema 2K cable but about the same cost and the same gauges shown
- Yamaha will not allow garmin to plug directly in......Yamaha wants a piece!
- -5 Stars!!! The connectors on this cable are both the wrong gender. The connector that supposed to connect to the yamaha NMEA2000 port on the motor (white connector with blue and white wires) is a male connector and so is the connector on the motor. You could use this if you order one the Yamaha pigtail cables as well. However, the connector that mates to the NMEA2000 bus is ALSO the wrong gender connector. This connector is supposed to be the same as a NMEA2000 Drop cable with male pins, but it is a female connector! Interesting how the picture doesn\'t show the gender/polarity of the connectors.
- works for engine connections
- Do not buy this item as it doesn’t plug into the clip already on the Yamaha motor NMEA 2000 connector. Like the other reviewers said it is the same plug and you can’t plug tow of the same ends into each other. Not sure how this happened but it is absurd. Buy the Lowrance one for more money as all the NMEA 2000 stuff works the same no matter who makes it.
- It\'s a male end, had to get a pig tail to make even work. added cost. please make this cable with the female end on it so it plugs into the engine property with out buying extra parts to make work.
