- Don\'t use the little stick-on antenna that came with your aftermarket head unit, use this to connect your new nav unit with your superior existing antenna. This works great in A3 8P, and many other Audi VW models. Even for many cars that didn\'t have nav head unit, there is often a very good GPS antenna installed, anyway, and a hidden connection in back (so you need a longer connector). If your car did have an OEM nav head unit with the Fakra cable connection to the antenna, you just need this little pigtail to use your existing GPS antenna with an aftermarket head unit like the Xtrons Android I installed in my 2012.

- This is the second time I\'ve bought this adapter. I\'ve put an aftermarket Android deck in my 2004 VW Passat Wagon--and recently, our 2007 Mercedes R350. I believe any European car will use this adapter size.Basically, when you purchase an aftermarket Android deck, it will come with an external GPS antenna that you sticker onto the dashboard. Most cars have a GPS antenna, even if it wasn\'t optioned with navigation from the factory. When you use the factory GPS antenna via this adapter, instead of the one that comes with the radio, it is infinitely more accurate--plus, you don\'t have to have the antenna on the dash.

- I purchased Binfu GPS antenna for my aftermarket navigation radio. Yes, my car is originally stock premium navigation with GPS, but i wanted to upgrade to bigger screen like a 9.7 touch navigation with GPS. SO, i did not want to install the new GPS antenna when i have the factory already in perfect location so i purchased the BINFU GPS Antenna. This comes in very handy. - Works as intended in my Audi A3 8P that previously had Audi RNS-E. No trimming of the connector was necessary and it clipped in correctly. GPS reception on my aftermarket head unit is excellent.
