Bar Fly 4 Prime Aluminum Bicycle Accessory Mount, Black, adjustable reach for large and small Computers - Garmin, Wahoo, Polar, Bryton, Cateye, Mio, Joule
- The light adapter to attach to the underside mount is made too thick. Would not fit into barfly\'s or other gopro mounts. The two \"columns\" are not the proper fit, otherwise happy with the mount, but was looking to use this under mount for my lights.
- This \"modular\" mount seems to be able to be configured and reconfigured for attaching nearly anything to your bike\'s h-bar. If this level of customization is what you are looking for then it is a great item (and looks well-made and thought-out). Unfortunately I only need a mount to hold a Garmin Edge 830 so, for this purpose, it is too expensive, overly-complicated and too heavy.
- This is a quality product, much better than it\'s plastic counterpart.
- I am using 2 of this mount:a) one with a Bryton RIder 530 & Cycliq Fly12CEb) the other with a Bryton Rider 310 & Cycliq Fly12And will be comparing with the other well-known K-E*** mount.Value:a) lots of extra mounts out of the box for other computers like Byrton Rider 3xx/530b) extra screwsc) out of the box either 31.8mm or 35mm handlebarsd) you can fit a bigger comp like Bryton Rider 530 or smaller ones like the Rider 310 by changing the mounting orientation out of the box.e) out of the box, comes with a go-pro mountFit:a) lots of extra mounts out of the box for other computers like Byrton Rider 3xx/530b) one mount to fit either larger computers or smaller onesBuild quality/Finishing:a) not as refined as k-e*** mountsb) hinged mount just like the other brandc) Not as chunky as K-e*** mountsCons:a) limited to black colour. We want more colour options!b) no shims for 26mm handlebarsc) unlike a K-E***, the computer can only be secured by turing clockwise (9 to 12 o\'clock) and removed by turning anti-clockwise (12 to 9 o\'clock) direction
- The media could not be loaded. I was deciding between KOM, K-Edge, Garmin OEM and BarFly.On sale and decided on the BarFly due to a colleagues recommendation. Also picked this option as the branding is limited to the top half of the arm of the mount. The Other option has white markings and lettering on the sides, hinge, front arm and rear of the hinge.Would have liked if the screw was self retaining, but created my own shim to resolve this issue. need this as I switch between two bikes. Also would have been nice to have a shim for 25.4mm (used one from my old GUB phone mount), not a big deal as others typically are 31.8mm and 35mm.The camera mount does indeed not sit tightly and sways side to side. I tightened the screws fairly tight and the mount still moves. I use an old GoPro with EIS and did not notice any impactful shake to the video, but would have been nice if the camera mount didn\'t move. Also would have been nice to have the retention bolt stayed in place. May use some electrical tape or double sided tape to keep the bolt from falling out when switching devices (don\'t want to void the warranty by epoxying the retaining bolt to the camera mount).Good selection of computer mounts and option for action camera, light mount, and clip.
- I\'ve had a previous version of the Bar Fly (the original) and this iteration has completely solved all of my issues in addition to adding so many features. I also have several K-edge mounts, both single and doubles. I love that the Bar Fly is now incredibly durable and I absolutely love the fact that I can interchange any mount (both top and bottom) mounts for virtually any device I own. I like to switch between my GoPro and my lighting setup on my Tallboy, depending on the riding that I\'m doing and it is a breeze to do it. Now, when I upgrade my Garmin or my Elemnt, I\'ll be able to just install the correct mount instead of buying a whole new unit. Also, their customer service is second to none - my mount came to me without the screws needed to attach the mounts (the package was damaged, but not the product, so the screws might have come out of the damaged package), but I sent an email off to customer service and they responded in less than 24 hours and shipped me off a new set of mounting screws. I highly recommend this mount and this company!
