Skinomi TechSkin [6-Pack] Clear Screen Protector for Garmin Fenix 5X (Garmin Fenix 5X Plus) [Full Coverage] Anti-Bubble HD TPU Film
- Fácil de instalar y tiene una durabilidad que te sorprenderá
- First, I never give any product review 5 stars unless that product significantly exceeds expectations. That said, this is a great product and once you get the installation process figured out it performs very well. A few suggestions for installing the screen protector that I learned through trial and error (and--as promised--a free replacement set of screen protectors after I screwed up on the installation on my first watch). First, I find it helpful to use a fine-tipped forceps (tweezers) to handle the screen protector. Simply peel off the backing slightly and GENTLY grasp the screen protector with the forceps. This method avoids the risk of finger prints and/or dust that your fingers might pick up from the time you wash your hands to when you begin the installation. Second, I found that I was originally applying TOO LITTLE of the soap solution. I learned that installation works best with a complete, but thin, layer of soap solution on both the watch face and the adhesive side of the screen protector. You can then use the forceps to accurately place the screen protector on the watch face, thereby avoiding having to slide it around too much (I ruined one installation by doing so). Finally, I place my watch in the sun so it warms gently; doing so accelerates (slightly) the \"curing\" process. As promised by the manufacturer, all bubbles, streaks, etc. disappear within 24 hours and you do not even know the screen protector is there given its excellent optical clarity.
- These screen protectors have waved my watch screen many times. My watch face has zero scratches. I changed the protector recently. I have not treated the watch gently for a very long time and yet not a single scratch.
- I tried one of them. Too many bubbles, issue to center. Gave up. I have done all sorts of screen protectors but this one didn\'t fit my needs. I would use it if keep the finger grease, etc. off the face and kept it looking better, but then just rubbing watch against high tech fabric does the job. Skinmoi products are great and have used for other screen faces, just not so great to install on the 5x.UPDATE: 09/06/2017 I tried again. This time I did the lint free cloth and cleaned with Rubbing alcohol and distilled water. Used the included solution. I centered the protector and then put the watch on the charger. I left overnight. Almost good. Waited a full 24 hours and then looked closely at watch face. Now the trapped bubbles and one lint bubble have finally disappeared. My watch face to me doesn\'t seem as glaring before the protector which makes it easier to read. I have updated my review. The quick instructions were generic and didn\'t reflect the installation on the 5x. You cannot use a squeegee. You can manipulate some of the bubbles away. Waiting is the real requirement.
- I have the Garmin Fenix 5x which has sapphire glass. Even though sapphire glass is supposed to be more durable I figured I want to protect this expensive watch anyway. The installation is pretty easy. It is a wet application which makes positioning the protector easy. The kit comes with six protectors, the spray liquid, and a cloth. The directions are easy to follow and the installation takes only a few minutes. One thing I wish they would have included was a card to use as a squeegee so you could press out all the liquid caught between the protector and the screen. I used an old gift card which worked nicely.I have already gone through one of the screen protectors having put a decent scrape in it from a cut chain link fence. The protector did it’s job and I would have been skeptical the sapphire screen would not have scratched had it not been on there.Taking the scratched protector off was a pain. It get really stuck on there. Even though it was a pain there was no residue and the new one went on just as fast as the first.
- Being an outdoors watch.. One that I actually take out hiking... I wanted to protect it the best I could. While the Sapphire glass is apparently VERY durable I know I will be bumping into trees and brush along hikes. So I wanted to add just that little bit more protection. The screen protector was easy to install. There was a nice video on installing the screen protector on watches and I was able to install with minimal fuss. I did have a few bubbles which concerned me because there were in annoying places. BUT like the directions said... Wait and they will go away. That\'s just what they did. I let it dry over night and within a day or so of wearing the watch in the sun the bubbles disappeared. Its been just over a month now of having the protector on and it is still well adhered to the screen. I have a rubber \"bump\" protector on the watch as well which has not caused the edges to peal up as some other screen protectors have while also put in a case. Being a 6 pack I will probably not need to buy anymore for a while but these would be my first choice when I do need more.
- At first I was very hesitant about these protectors. They are thin and just slid around during the install process. I had decided that night thati would be returning them. In the morning after all of the installation liquid had dried, it looked much better. The cloudiness was gone and I could barely tell the protector was there. I have had the same one on for almost a month now. I am extremely rough on everything as I work and play hard outdoors. Not a mark on this thing so far! Yesterday I bumped against a wall while walking and the screen was covered in paint rub marks. They buffed right off with some water and a cloth. Give them a try.
