- The product seems well designed and probably fits most cars just fine. However, in my 2014 Subaru WRX, it puts the AP touching the indicator lever. I modified mine to make it work. I took the unit apart and used plastic epoxy to secure the AP mount part to the round cover for the upper support. That pulled it back about 2 inches and now my finger doesn\'t hit it when I use my blinkers. Honestly, it looks pretty good for being glued together. See my pictures, this should apply for all 2008-2014 WRX and STIs, and probably lots of other applications.I haven\'t used it during driving yet since I\'m in the middle of some projects on the car, but it looks like there will be the tenancy for the mount to rotate down with the weight of the AP leveraging the vents natural motion. I guess I\'ll have to see about that.EDIT: I\'m not sure why my pictures loaded sideways, they are the right way in windows... lol.
- I bought the product before reading the reviews. Two reviews said it didn\'t fit the focus. Those people didn\'t try hard enough. It took me some finagling and a little bit of double sided tape to keep it held into position when I make sharp right turns, but overall, it\'s a decent mount.
- UPDATE: Alright, after having used it for an entire day, I gotta say that this item is not for the Subaru Impreza WRX. I tried mounting it in the center vents but it interferes with the shifter.I could route it to the driver side side dash vent but I don\'t like how my hand and arm blocks the view during normal driving.It protrudes outward way too much. It would have been nice if the supporting feet were lined with rubber soles.It seems sturdy enough and a better option than the adhesive and window suction.
- This is exactly what I was looking for! With the double adjustment, you can slide the AccessPORT up, down, left, or right slightly so that the entire screen can be clearly seen while driving. The spring clip attaches to the vent very securely, so there is no fear of it falling off when going over bumps or during \"spirited\" driving.Vertical adjustment of the vent is no longer possible, but you can still adjust it horizontally, and the AccessPORT is positioned far enough away from the vent that you can still feel the airflow from the vent.My initial impression of the quality is that it\'s sturdy enough to hold up for a while.
- Lots of adjustability. I started with it on the left of my steering wheel and ended up moving it to my center console vent because it didn’t swivel up and down. 2014 WRX. I could see how this would work pretty well in almost any car.
- I have been through a few windshield suction mounts and the heat has killed them. This is perfect. I have it mounted to the vent to the left of the wheel and it is perfect. Clearly visible but not obstructing. So far it is super sturdy with no wobbling.For a 2017 WRX Base
- Works for what it is, but wasn\'t a good option for my 13 wrx. Sits too far forward and hits the turn signal lever too much
- Sits on my driver side vent cleanly. Good visibility when just taking a glance and quick removal of the AP for storage.
