- This is my first time buying something on amazon with no reviews so I feel obligated to leave one for others.I wanted an Airtag holder that was strong and lightweight. I chose this one because it was magnetic, made of metal, and it looked like the ring on the metal enclosure was wide enough to fit on a keyring. This seems to be a copy of several others. I purchased it because it was the cheapest at the time (only $2.99).As you can see from the photos, it can indeed fit onto a normal size keyring with the karabiner clasp removed.Random Observations:- The magnets that enclose the tag are strong. I don\'t see a risk of the tag falling out. There is a fingernail-sized notch to pry them apart and insert/remove the tag. The metal enclosure feels fine. Not great but not bad either. It is very lightweight.- The clasp is thick/strong and the mechanism is firm and smooth. You can see its spring though a hole. This may allow water to get in and rust the spring but hard to tell as I just received it. If I remember to, I\'ll try to update this review in the future with longevity.- The leather strip connecting the clasp and the enclosure feels thick enough to me. And this in combo with it being so short, I wouldn\'t really be concerned about longevity.- The tag seems like it only fits in one way. I tried it the other way but it wouldn\'t close fully.- The metal side of the tag protrudes from the enclosure slightly. If you care about scratches, then you would need to protect it some other way. I don\'t care about scratches.- The plastic slide is recessed in the enclosure at the edges and basically flush at the middle (because it is convex).Removing the clasp:As you can see from the photos, I removed the clasp to make it lighter and more minimal on my keys. I originally though I would have to cut the leather strip, but then I realized it was held in by two screws. Removing these screws allowed me to detach the enclosure in a non-destructive way, which is awesome. You need a pretty small screwdriver size though. I used a Phillips 0 but it seems like smaller bits (Phillips 00 or 000) would work in a pinch. I tried a Phillips 1 and that was too large.Conclusion:At $2.99 this is a really good value. I wouldn\'t be surprised if they raised the price, because this was significantly cheaper than similar holders at my time of purchase. I would still buy this at a higher price though because it is good quality and fits my needs very well.

- I bought this to use with an Apple AirTag that I purchased as a gift for someone. I was very happy to see how sturdy it was when it arrived. I feel it is great value for the money. It will easily clip on to just about anything. The metal seems very solid and will last a long time. I definitely recommend this keychain for your AirTag.
- I’ll break this down based on why I sent this AirTag keychain back.First: it doesn’t protect the silver face of the AirTag. When you lay the AirTag down while in this keychain, the face of the AirTag makes enough contact on a flat surface that it would be badly damaged if dropped on concrete or a similarly abrasive surface. In other words - it only (and barely) protects one side of the Tag.Reason #2: the gated loop/hook is poorly designed (for three reasons). The first design flaw is the shape and width of the loop/hook will not accommodate either of my BMW key fobs, nor the fob for my Honda. The second design flaw is the gate tends to stick open because the spring tension is not strong enough to fully close it - and the spring tension is not strong enough to keep the gate from being accidentally opened. It’s very easy to open - enough to casually lose what is supposed to stay attached - and the gate remains open once it’s accidentally bumped open. The third flaw is the fact they used a very thin leather strap to attach the loop/hook to the part that holds the AirTag. I have little doubt that will be a major failure point for most of these keychains.Reason #3: while the magnets used are actually quite strong, and perfectly sufficient for keeping the AirTag case closed - they are also strong enough to effect magnetically sensitive items that the case comes in contact with. I did not test to see if the magnets interact or distort the AirTag’s communication. The other flaws were sufficient to return the item.In summary, while I like the idea of a keychain that allows me a convenient and easy open design for removing the AirTag, the keychain fails at all of the major aspects you would honestly buy an AirTag holder for: it doesn’t adequately protect the AirTag from drops and most notably being scratched. The gated hook/loop design fails to accommodate key fobs from two major manufacturers (although it may fit later model fobs from BMW and Honda) - and if it does fit your fob… the gate spring is weak enough to be accidentally opened, with the potential to lose your expensive key fob. Lastly - the super-thin strap of leather used to attach the loop to the Tag holder has questionable longevity. The issues noted related with the magnets are also a consideration.
