- Replaced a garmin charger I cannot find. It does charge my garmin Drive Smart 7gps with traffic radio alerts. Cable long and plug end is correct angle for mount. Charger is suppose to have traffic radio antennae function. Maybe ,but when I plug it in the gps does not recognize the function is available. There is instruction to be sure wire is open to sky to receive traffic signal. It may work when on the road. But I never really used the function any way. I just look out windshield for traffic report.Will update if I see the traffic report thing working. But take your chances or part with $50 for a garmin one if that is what you really want.

- My Garmin power cable finally failed after about 10 years of daily use. No complaints about Garmin quality, in fact I like the fact that Garmin didn\'t just fail, it became intermittent, allowing me to twiddle it as needed while looking for a replacement. When I went to buy a replacement, I read all the reviews and these looked like a better design than the Garmin cable. I bought two (I have 2 Garmins) and both worked just as well as a Garmin cable, but are slightly easier to use. I don\'t know how long they will last, but this time I don\'t need 10 years, as I\'ll be buying new Garmins before then.

- I purchased this adapter to replace OEM equipment that frayed.The 3-Star rating is because the Traffic connection does not work 50% of the time. I get a notice at startup indicating a non compatible cord. I repositioned & unplugged with the same results.
