- The overall quilty of the product is not good. The suction cup does not fit firmly on.

- The biggest flaw and it has been mentioned in many reviews is that the clip on retention to the tomtom gps itself is not great. If you plan on using it on a dashboard mount, it should hold. But it doesn\'t really hold up well if you mount it to the windshield. Rough roads can easily force the retention system to unclip from the back of the tomtom gps. The original tomtom gps retention mount holds so much better. I ended up just using the ball mount portion of the mount itself and attached some thin rubber over it to use with the original mount (the original ball mount rubber had fallen apart after 10 years). If you want to adjust the mount as well, regardless of whether it is on the dash or windshield, you need to hold actual mount in the back while adjusting because even a slight push will snap it out of place. The suction cup is great though, but the retention clip does not fit an XL tomtom gps.
- Will not stay snapped on to my Tom Tom XXL. So I took the suction cup with the rollerball off the new one and put it on my old base that snaps on fine.
- My original TomTom mount developed a tear in the suction cup and wouldn\'t stick to windshield anymore; so ordered 2 of these, one for my TomTom XL340 and another as backup (or use with wife\'s older TomTom One). Just used the new item with my TomTom XL340 for a 1200 mile trip; it worked GREAT ... stayed up on windshield the entire 4 days, in 70-90 degree weather, over several rough stretches of highway and never needed to reattach a single time. Both GPS units (XL340 and One) fit snugly into the ring opening with no unwanted turning (play). Definitely glad I ordered here as opposed to the $30 OEM replacement units.The early rating of this item (3 reviews, average 2.5 stars) is deceptive. One reviewer gave it only 1 star but all positive comments, so that person must\'ve misunderstood rating system. The other low rating was from a reviewer who couldn\'t get the dial to turn/provide suction. I had no problems with that, although it may not turn as far/much as the OEM mount, it does turn and provide good suction.
- My old TomTom XL\'s mount broke a few years ago, and try as I might, I could not find one locally at a decent price, or even get on in from Amazon.com to my country.A couple of weeks I came across the iSaddle CH-201 at an exceptionally good price, and they also would be able to ship to South Africa. I decided to give it a go.It arrived within the shipping time which is great, as this is something that Amazon have improved drastically.Even though it\'s not labeled TomTom, it fits my XL perfectly, and mounts on the windscreen just as the original did. The suction cup is very effective and doesn\'t budge at all, which means the GPS will be securely attached to the windshield.If you\'re looking for a decent mount at a great price, give this a go!
- Pictured mount looks to be OEM. This is definitely a cheaper made copy. Mount and gps easily separates from each other even after making sure they are securely mated together. Price is good but you have to put up with it separating at times during use.
