- I mounted this directly to the inside of my hard ski case to hold my AirTag. I’ve had far too many trips where my skis don’t arrive at the same time I do.I used a 5/32 drill bit and used the backing plate as a hole template. I screwed directly to the plastic, not using the backing plate. It sits flush enough that the top shell still easily slides over the bottom. I mounted it high enough that I will see it when loading skis, so that I don’t smash it, and so that I can change batteries easily when I need to.
- When I received my initial order of two tag holders, I noticed that it was missing the screws. I contacted the seller and they immediately sent out another set! I understand that sometimes mistakes like this happens in production, so that didn\'t bother me. It\'s how the seller responds does though. Elevation Lab handled this quickly and appropriately. I wouldn\'t hesitate to use any of their products in the future....Now to the holder itself. The mounting of this is pretty straight forward. Just be aware that depending on the material, you may need to make the holes yourself and not use the pointed included screws. On one bag that has a heavy material, I just heated up a pick and made a nice hole. A feature with that method is that the edge of hole is now fused so the material will less likely tear.I\'m not concerned with the waterproofness as the Air Tag is already water resistant enough for outside of my bags.
- I’ve had AirTag’s on a few bags of mine. Mostly haphazard attachment via dangling holders. These are straight up professional. IPX/waterproof, and if you pay any attention to mounting, the come out better than if they had been installed at the factory. Sleek, discreet, look right.
- I got this to install an air tag on my 4 year old son’s clothing. He has run away several times and I’m hoping to avoid the panic of not knowing where he is. I installed it inside the front jeans pocket and it wasn’t too difficult which is good because I’m going to have to do this every day. I will update if I have any problems with it.
- Put this on my dog’s collar was very easy to install, just to bad that the little screwdriver isn’t a little bigger.
- I love that you can attach these to your bag straps and they cannot be easily removed. I would love to see if they can figure out how to enhance the sound of the AirTags when you need to locate them, but I suppose the most important factor is that you can track your bags and know if they arrived with you.Make sure you keep the supplied tool for if you ever want or need to transfer to another bag...or if you are like me, I will definitely buy some more for my other travel bags.
- This item is very well made. Our pitbull is epileptic and on heavy meds. He is often not mentally clear and can wander off. We needed a solution to locate him if he does. The apple tag was an easy option but his sisters tore it off of him twice. This product secures it to his leather collar very well. All of the parts are high quality and well made. The only consideration is to get a stronger driver for the mounting as it takes a lot of force to go through leather but it worked fine for me.ENJOY!!
- Added this to our dogs collar and now we always know where he is. Love it!!
